Are You A Go-Getter? Online Career Training Puts You In Charge

Patience is a virtue or so we have been told. Is that still true for todays generation who demand instant gratification? It is open for debate but one thing is for sure we live in a fast-paced world. Things happen almost at the speed of light and before they can be comprehended the next big thing is already taking place. This is a fact of all areas of life including education. People want to learn a skill or gain knowledge that will allow them to earn a great income. Society teaches us that the key to doing this is to go to college. However, todays lightening-paced generation does not necessarily want to spend four years of their lives trying to earn a college degree.

So whats the answer? For some the answer may be career training. This training provides skills and knowledge to a student at a self-chosen pace. Once a student enrolls in a career training course how fast the training is absorbed will be determined by the individual. If a person wants to slowly digest the training that can be done. If the person prefers to gulp it down quickly that can be done as well. It is entirely up to the student to decide how much learning is to be done and at what pace. Depending on the course selected a student could learn a new skill in as little as three months and be fully prepared to enter the job market right away! No four year degree program can make that claim.

In addition to learning at ones own pace, career training also allows a student to learn in ones own environment. Career training courses can be provided online so a student can study a course at any time or place as long as a computer with internet access is available. This will also help keep the pace moving along because it wont be necessary to spend time driving to a college campus. Nor will a student have to sit in a stuffy classroom with scores of other students learning at a pace set by the professor. Without a commute to a college campus the student saves precious time that could be well spent in other areas of life, such as working a part-time job or spending time with the family.

The technologically advanced world we live in moves faster than a speeding electron. Unfortunately, those who fail to keep up get left behind and may never catch up again. Career training can help a person to not only keep up with the rat race but actually get ahead of the pack. So why not take a few minutes of your time to look into career training? It will be time well spent.

Atlanta Schools Wellness Workshops Project

Atlanta Schools Wellness Workshops Promote Nutrition and Physical Education

When Atlanta Schools opened at the end of August, a new project was initiated. The Wellness Workshop Project kicked off the school year with a workshop that included Olympic gold medalist Gail Devers, author Yvonne Butler, 300 students from the Atlanta School District, faculty members, and community leaders. This was the first ever Atlanta Schools wellness workshop. Atlanta Schools Margaret Fain Elementary Schools Wings of Eagles dance troupe performed to illustrate how much physical energy is used in dance.

The first Wellness Workshop was co-chaired by Dr. Marilyn Hughes, the director of nutrition administration for Atlanta Schools, and Billette Owens-Ashford, Atlanta Schools director of physical education and athletics. The goal of the Wellness Workshop Project is improve the health of the students by identifying health-related problems. It has been proven that health related issues can often have a direct affect on a students academic achievement.

The inaugural Wellness Workshop for the Atlanta Schools had a variety of speakers and displays that provided resources on nutritional based activities and physical education activities. The keynote speaker was Dr. Yvonne Butler. Dr. Butler is a noted author whose book, Healthy Kids, Smart Kids, discusses the impact of diet and exercise on learning and academic performance. Other speakers included Olympic track-and-field gold medalist Gail Severs who spoke about importance of exercise to health and how to stay physically fit.

Atlanta Schools Wellness Workshop Project is part of a broad program that aims to provide both fitness and nutrition strategies for students and staff in all Atlanta Schools. Innovative strategies that will be used include yoga classes for teachers and students, vegetarian cafeteria lines, and walking trails. The overall plan was developed by the Atlanta Schools Board of Education. The Board of Education will offer guidelines on how to implement the program and how the schools will be evaluated.

A major part of the plan is establishing wellness councils. These councils will be comprised of teachers, parents, administrators, students, and community and business partners. The council will assist Atlanta Schools in integrating nutrition and physical education into the current curriculum. The wellness council will also have a presence at events throughout the Atlanta Schools.

Recently, Atlanta Schools wellness plan received a boost from the involvement of an Atlanta Schools parent. Linton Hopkins has two children attending E. Rivers Elementary School. Hopkins is concerned about the nutritional value of cafeteria offerings at the E. Rivers Elementary School but unlike other parents, Hopkins is the executive chef of Atlantas Restaurant Eugene and winner of this years Atlanta Iron Chef competition. Hopkins has joined the Local School Wellness Council to help evaluate the schools cafeteria. Hopkins isnt the only trained chef to join the E. Rivers Elementary Schools wellness council. Elisa Gambino, owner of pasta emporium Via Elisa, has along with eleven other parents joined the wellness council. Parental involvement is an important element to the success of the wellness councils. Currently, approximately 90 percent of Atlanta Schools elementary and 65 percent of high schools have parents actively involved with the wellness council of their school.

Blogging for Fun and Profit

A blog is an online version of diary where people write and display almost anything - their opinions, photos, jokes, thoughts for the day and more. People also share stories about their pets, their passion for soccer, stamps... the limit is only your imagination!

In the last few years, blogging has emerged to become a much more meaningful activity than simply maintaining a personal diary. People use it to advertise their products and services, in fact, quite a number of companies even create their online presence by using a blog instead of a website.

Create Your Own Blog

Starting a blog is free. You can create one at http://www.blogger.com - a free service from Google Inc. You don't need to register a domain name or buy hosting. When you sign up at Blogger, everything happens online. Your blog will be hosted by Blogger and you get an URL like http://yourdomain.blogspot.com. You simply log in to your account and start to write. This is much easier and cheaper than buying your own domain and hosting, then hiring someone to do the web design, writing and coding.

Another free blogging service available online is WordPress which is also very popular and easy to use. WordPress supports more features than Blogger while allowing you to customize your blog with various plug-in. You can check it out at http://wordpress.org.

Monetize Your Blog

While blogging for your own interest, you can in fact maximize the potential of your blog for many marketing or commercial purposes.

The quickest and easiest way to turn a blog into a money-making enterprise is to include advertising on your blog. This can be done with contextual ad programs like Adsense - an advertising program by Google. Basically, you get paid when people click on the ads displayed on your website or blog. Google Adsense program is free to sign up. You can visit http://www.google.com/adsense to learn more about the rules and guidelines of the program. Other Adsense type ads that you can use for blog monetizing are SearchFeed, AdBrite, and Yahoo's Publishers Network (YPN).

Affiliate program is another potential way to make money blogging. By focusing on the subject of your blog post, you can promote relevant products from cost per sale affiliate programs like ClickBank and Amazon. You can write a review about the product or service with your affiliate links embedded inside so you get the commission whenever a sale is made.

Boost Your Blog Traffic

Blogs are quickly indexed by search engines, but you need to update it regularly. Search engines love fresh content and regular update will ensure that your website is indexed and ranked high up as well. The higher up it appears, the more traffic will come to your site, which means more sales. You can actively participate in forums discussion or post comments on other blogs to get more link back traffic.

Whether you use your blog for fun or for work, remember that its a highly potential tool any which way. So what are you waiting for? Start blogging away right now!

A Day In The Life Of Affiliate Marketer X

Hi...

My name is "Affiliate Marketer X" and you know what?...

I know how you feel, I used to feel the same way, going to that boring J.O.B. (Just Over Broke)...., meeting a boss that dont appreciate your job...., but the worst thing wasnt that, no, the worst thing was that I did not have the time to spend with my family, they are one of the most important things in my life.

I was like a rat running around in circles trying to make things better, but I realize now that it was a stupid way of thinking, why?

Because, well, the answer is pretty simple: I was doing just that, "running around in circles", the answer was just in front of me..., and I couldnt see it, in other words, I didnt see the forest for the tree!

I become to realize that if you want to make things work in your life you have to change the way you make things, and most of the times the answer lies just in front of your nose. (doh!)

Well, what changes did I made you probably ask yourself?

Ok, here it goes, It might inspires you:

1) => De first thing I asked myself was:

What Do I Want To Accomplish?...

Remember to try and to really "Do" something is completely different, why? because if you only "Try" to do something you will actually never "Do" it, a person who "Do", is someone who takes action in his life.

So start thinking about what you really want to "Do", take a paper and a pen and write down the things you want to accomplish by having an online business.

Then when you have a list of things start with, start with the most important things for you, because that is what is going to motivate you along the road. Think also about your most urgent needs.

Why are you starting an online venture as an affiliate or a home based business owner? Do you want to have some extra money? Do you want to do this full time? Do you want to be more time with your family?.... I think you get the picture.

2) => The second thing is:

Who Is Going To Do It?

Many people think that starting an online business is just setting up a domain name and a website and that the buyers will come....Wrong! And Wrong again!

You actually have to project yourself into the near future to see "Who" is actually going to do the work.

You have two options:

A) Do it yourself.

B) Hire someone.

Your decision will depend on two factors: time and money

Do you have more time then money on your hands or vice versa?

This will be a critical factor upon deciding this step.

Take some time and think about it and then take some more: Action!

3) => The Third:

When Is It Going To Be Done?

One of the biggest obstacles to success is in one word:

Procastination.

The nature of the human being is to procastinate things, we say: "Oh, I know this is important to do, but...hey! I dont think it matters to much if I do it tomorrow!...", but reality is that when tomorrow comes, you will probably say the same thing and there you are going around in circles again...

So, stop right now thinking that way and change your way of thinking and say instead: "What can I do today to makes things different?"

And I am not talking about going to the bank and getting a loan of $100,000 dollars, no!

I am talking about those little but positive changes you can make today to make a difference in your life, i.e. right now you are taking a very important and crucial step to change things in your life and I know you want it!

How do I know it? Well, youre still reading this right?....

4)=> And the last one:

How Much Is It Going To Cost Me?

To be totally sincere, you can start a business online for under $100 dollars or less if you are willing to get your hands dirty.

In this case I specially recommend starting with affiliate programs, because you have no stock or inventory to handle.

You can set up a domain and hosting account to start with for under $20 and if you can write an honest and unbiassed review for a product you are ready and set to go.

Now, you also need visitors to your site, remember this and dont get fooled by empty promises, if you have zero visitors you will get zero sales, its as simple as that.

Dont know how to get people to your site?

Again, the money is a big factor in this game but not necessary an obstacle.

Ok, here we go:

a) Send out solo ads to ezines.
b) PPC search engines
c) Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
d) Link Exchanges with other sites
e) Traffic Exchange sites.

If you opt for the free way I recommend you starting with traffic exchange sites, but the way to use this correctly is to get people to sign up for free (they are totally free) and the you will earn traffic for their efforts.

But there are only a handful of quality sites out there, so I recommend you getting your feet wet with Instant Buzz and Trafficswarm, they are one of the best and most reliable traffic exchange sites online, in fact you can get targeted traffic coming in today.

The other methods takes a little bit more time to understand but they are definitely worth it.

This way of thinking put me on the road to success and it keeps helping me to put my thougths in order when I have to get things fixed.

Dont sit on this information, take one step today and you are going to change the rhythm in your life.

And that my friend is part of a day in my life..., a day in the life of "Affiliate Marketer X".

Better Than a Car Wash

How much do you spend at the car wash each year? Here in the Northeast where road salt eats car finishes for breakfast, its not unusual to spend $50 or more a month protecting your car from damage. Why throw money down the drain at the local car wash when you can do it yourself at home and get the satisfaction of a job well done.

The Right Tools make all the difference. A pressure washer is one of those pieces of equipment that will pay for itself in just a few months. Not only can you use it to power your car clean, youll find that it does a great job of cleaning your siding, brightening wood decks and just about any other power cleaning job there is.

Heres how to clean and polish your car better than a car wash, using a pressure washer and some specialty car care polish products.

Start by rinsing your car thoroughly using a fine water spray. The first rinse will wash away dust and dirt thats on the surface of the car.

Get up under the undercarriage by using an angled extension wand. Road salt is a killer on the undercarriage and wheel wells.

Use the right detergent - (Pressure Washer Vehicle and Boat Wash) one that has been approved for use in your pressure washer. Dishwashing liquid or laundry detergent isnt made for your car. The harsh solvents will ruin the finish and wont even get at most of the road dirt.

Apply the detergent starting from the bottom, using smooth strokes. Now go get yourself a cold drink while you give the washing solution time to work. Ten minutes or so is just right.

Use a rotating brush instead of rags or sponges. Less elbow grease needed and even better, less chance of damage to your car. The soft bristles of the brush are made not to scratch your finish.

Rinse using high pressure. Heres where technique pays off. Remember that water at high pressure CAN damage your car, and be sure to stand a few feet away and angle the spray to glance over the surface rather than pounding into it.

Carefully dry your car, using soft, absorbent terry cloth. You can buy car wash cloths from a store that sells auto detailing supplies or car cleaning supplies. Chamois or terry is the best, say most experts. Theres no lint and no chance of scratching the cars finish instead of cleaning it.

About every six months, protect that new car shine with a new coat of wax. A coat of good quality car wax will help protect the cars finish from dirt and road grime. In between waxing, you can renew that just-waxed shine with a car care polish product that treats your cars surface with a repellant coat of silicone (Quick Shine Car Polish)

Dont forget the interior. Vacuum the carpets, and clean dash and upholstery with a product meant to freshen and remove stains from vinyl and leather (Vinyl and Leather Cleaner and Polish/Protectant)

Having the right car cleaning supplies and tools can save you money in the long run and ensure that your car looks great for years.

Alicante is the second largest city in the Valencia Province. The city is a major tourist attraction and there are many opportunities for sightseeing in Alicante. Over six million tourists visit the Costa Blanca region each year. Many of them enter the region through the Alicante airport and spend some time in the city.

The Old City centre is home to many museums and historic buildings. There is so much to see and do in this area to experience Spanish history and culture. It takes days to see all that the area has to offer. Plan to spend a few days of your trip in this area, taking in all the sights.

Oiling Your Long Hair

One of the problems with long hair is how hard it is for your hairs natural oils to get all the way down to the ends. You can help your hair feel great with a good conditioner, but oil can be really helpful.

My personal preference is to use jojoba oil. I buy it at my local natural foods store. I like to scent it with a bit of lavender oil too, since I love that scent.

It takes very, very little oil to do the job. My hair copes pretty well with being long, so I find I do best by only oiling the last few inches. If I do much more, my hair shortly looks oily, and thats not the look Im after.

I added the lavender oil to the jojoba before using it, right in the bottle.

The thing to remember is that you hardly need any oil at all. Put a drop or two in your palm, rub your hands together and stroke your hair smoothly between your hands. Just on the ends, as I said before. It really doesnt take a lot.

If you need extra help for all your hair, try oiling the entire length of your hair before bed, and wash it out in the morning. This will give the oil time to soak in.

Of course, jojoba isnt the only oil that works well. Coconut oil is quite popular, although it has a stronger scent. Some use olive oil straight from the kitchen cabinet. If you arent sure about putting oil in your hair, you can start with that, but a lighter oil really is better in the long run.

What does the oil do for you? It keeps your hair moist and flexible, so it doesnt break so easily. If you want your hair to grow long, thats vital.

If you do choose add a scent to your oil, make sure it is one that is safe for your hair. Some essential oils are really not good for your hair.

Oiling your long hair is one of those things where youll feel the difference in the texture of your hair quickly, but it will take time to see a difference in how long it grows. After all, it takes a long time for hair to grow. But if youre serious about having really long hair, its an easy step to add to your routine.

Stephanie Foster enjoys the pleasure of having long hair, even when it takes a little extra effort. You can learn more about long hair care at http://www.whylonghair.com/category/long-hair-care/.Milissent Blog65526

Factors to Consider when Choosing Any Affiliate Marketing Program

The internet has enabled affiliate marketing to jump to unprecedented levels of popularity and profit. It has made it possible for quite a few people to quit their day jobs and concentrate on nothing but affiliate programs. The key to success in this area is picking the right program to market.

There are many factors to consider like number of referrals, what kind of tier system is in place, the type of support you and the buyer will receive from the customer service help desk but whats the most important factor affiliates look at? The rated commission structure is the number one consideration they use in searching for the program to promote.

Specifically, we want to know a) how much do we get paid? and b) when do we get paid? This seems only natural as this is the main reason why we are affiliate marketing in the first place. If you are going to invest the time, money and effort then you should be well compensated. Unfortunately, however, this is the beginning and end in their decision to sell a product or service.

Above the compensation plan, the very first consideration you should have when choosing a program to market is the value of the product that you will be selling. The best way to determine this is to decide that if you, as a consumer, would actually purchase the product for you own personal use for the price that is being asked. If you wouldn't purchase the product you're selling as a consumer, then as an affiliate marketer, it's going to be hard to convince someone else to buy it.

That being the main consideration, it is not meant to minimize other factors when picking an affiliate marketing program. A big part of choosing the right merchant is still how and when you get paid.

This is not meant to minimize the other factors when picking an affiliate marketing program. A big part of choosing the right merchant is how and when you get paid. On average most merchants will pay you once a month either by direct deposit (becoming more popular) or mailing you a check. You usually have to accrue a certain amount before affiliate commissions are paid out. There are other merchants that offer different payment plans, so it all depends on your lifestyle and how you structure your affiliate campaign.

If it costs you money to join an affiliate program than you should find out: What you are paying for?, Why are you paying for it?, Are there future expenses?, What's my return on investment(ROI)?, and Is any of it refundable?

If you decide that shelling out cash to join an affiliate program is not worth it then the chances are you will find many free programs in your particular niche that have a reputation for quality products and paying on time.

Whichever way you decide to go, make certain that they have a way for you to track your sales and the more detailed the better. You really need to know where your referrals are coming from and if your advertising is working. Something else to find out is how long your referrals will stay in the merchant database because people do not always buy the first time around. If they decide to purchase the product a couple months after visiting your affiliate site, will the merchant give you any credit for the sale?

There are many other points to consider before joining an affiliate program. Do some research on the blogs and forums. Check out what people are saying good or bad about the affiliate program you are interested in joining. Always round up as much information as possible, make your decision, and them just do it.

Writing Articles - The Reasons

There are many reasons why you may want to write articles but in terms of publishing for profit, there are really only two.

The first is for direct and immediate profit. In other words, you write the article and someone pays you for it. At this pint, you lose all rights to what you have written, so don't imagine that you can regurgitate even one sentence and re-use it. Of course, you still have the knowledge and are free to continue writing and publishing on the same subject. Just make sure that the content isn't recognisable and that you don't inadvertently use an identical complex sentence to one which was in the article that you sold.

The second reason for writing articles is to attract visitors to your website and/or to purchase your product for longer term profit. In this instance, you can't sell your article because to need it to carry your name and your business details and web address, not somebody else's. You retain the rights and can do what you like with your masterpiece, but you will probably choose one or several of the following.

- Publish on your own website but use your blog or newsletter to tell people where to find your article. If you "ping" your blog, certain search engines will be updated and others will detect of their own accord that your site has new, original content and will send their spiders along to index it.

- Publish in an ezine. Many ezine owners are looking for content and may agree to a swap, otherwise you may have to pay for your article to appear. However, if you choose the ezine carefully, it can be well worth the expenditure.

- Publish in an article directory. This may well lead to other websites using your work for content or distribution via RSS feeds. Each time your article appears, so will your link, attracting even more visitors to your site or product.

If you join MPAM and follow the 20 Steps course, you will learn about all of the above. The course lays out a detailed plan for the successful creation and population of a content-rich, search engine friendly website. In addition, there is the opportunity to at least cover the cost of your membership by writing articles for sale to MPAM as well as many other income streams and extensive training.

Whatever your reasons for writing articles and wherever they end up, before you start to scribble or tap away at the keyboard, there are a few basic things that you will need to know.

A good standard of English grammar and spelling is required. Without that, your articles will remain unread and other than on your own website, where you can do what you like, unpublished. The major article directories check spelling and grammar quite carefully and will reject out of hand, articles which are not of a sufficiently high quality.

Original, informative content is a must. It's worth doing some research to find out what the internet population are interested in before you even start.

A well-structured, cohesive piece of writing is necessary. There's nothing more likely to lose your readers' attention than muddled or contradictory ramblings.

If you would like detailed tips about the dos and don'ts of article writing, then watch this space, there will be more coming soon.

Climb Every Mountain: Asheville, NC and the Changing Real Estate Market

In the article NAR Asks Home Owners: If You Sell It, Will Buyers Come? (posted on March 27, 2006) National Association of Realtors (NAR) President, Thomas M. Stevens, stated Selling a home is like climbing Mount Everest, if you dont prepare correctly, youll never achieve your goal. Getting a signed contract is like reaching the peak, but thats only half the journey, he continued, Many things can happen on the way back down the mountain. Savvy sellers know to hire a Realtor to protect their interests and guide them through.

As the national real estate market continues to change the real estate market in Asheville, North Carolina stays strong. During the spring and summer of 2006 Asheville has slowly transformed into a buyers market. Although this shift occurred more slowly in areas of Western North Carolina, than in other parts of the country, Asheville residents will now see an increased number of homes on the market, higher interest rates than 2005 and a shrinking pool of potential homebuyers. However, sellers fear not! The economic outlook for Asheville is stable and blossoming. Change often comes great opportunity!

The Summer Keeps Sizzling

Asheville still sustains a hot real estate market. The citys new advertising campaign highlights that Asheville has something for everyone and as summer temperatures keep rising in the flatland many people come looking for more comfort and a better quality of life. Currently, West Asheville and North Asheville are the hottest parts of the city. Homes sold near Beaverdam Lake, the Grove Park Inn, the University of North Carolina and Merrimon Avenue are still in high demand. Properties located in neighborhoods accessible to Patton Avenue and Haywood Road are also moving more quickly. Homes selling in Leicester and Candler are the slowest, sometimes taking 3 or 4 months.

The key to a successful home sale in Asheville is pricing. Overpricing hurts home sellers in a real estate market with fewer buyers who take more time to decide. In West and North Asheville a well priced home can sell in 2 or 3 weeks. Higher pricing will now sit longer, even in areas like Kenilworth, which used to be one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Asheville. Its also important to consult a professional. As the buyers market becomes consistently more competitive sellers will need to rely on the service and expertise of a professional real estate agent. One who can realistically price the home and market it efficiently.

We Are All Connected

According to the 2006 Asheville Metro Economy Outlook (AMEO), completed in June of this year by the Asheville Metro Business Research Center and the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, Local Strengths Assure Continued Economic Growth & Stability. The AMEO also indicates the unemployment rate in Asheville, at 3.2%, is well below rates for the nation and state. The AMEO describes 6 contributing factors that support the balanced economic growth in Asheville: a specialized healthcare industry, record-setting tourism activity, an merging professional services sector, the resilient housing market, the baby-boom fueled population growth and the transformation of the manufacturing sector. It also reports that population growth in Asheville is consistent and in the last 35 years has never declined.

The 2006 Asheville Metro Economy Outlook also highlights one of the most unique characteristics of Asheville; 90 percent of local population growth is from in-migration. The state of North Carolina supplies approximately 40 percent of the in-migrants, but the state sending the next highest number of in-migrants is Florida at 12 percent. I know approximately 80 percent of the homebuyers I work with are from Florida. I believe, this years hurricane season will make or break the Florida real estate market. The Asheville market has slowed in some ways because the Florida market is slowing considerably. After the hurricane, many homeowners put houses on the market. As these sit for longer periods of time potential buyers from Florida are unable to move to Western North Carolina and purchase homes. The affect of this phenomenon is a feeling of putting on the brakes in both Florida and the Asheville region.

Despite all of the changes during the last year the Asheville real estate market still offers steady population increases, secure job growth and comparatively affordable residential home prices. As of June homes sales were up 10.3 percent for 2006 and the average home price was up 7.8 percent as reported by the AMEO. For more information about the Asheville real estate market and to learn tips for selling your home in the Western North Carolina region visit my web site http://www.theskysthelimitasheville.com. In the meantime, happy home selling!

How To Turn Your eBook Into A Massive Information Marketing Business

Do you have an e-book? Is it doing well? Most people feel satisfied if they have an e-book that is selling well. What they dont realize however, is if they adopt three simple strategies, they can double or triple their profits.

You see its not enough to just sell an e-book. You should be looking at the bigger picture. The bigger picture involves converting your e-book into an information marketing empire.

How do you do that?

Secret #1 Add Audio

If you have a successful e-book, you can boost your profits and increase your revenues by creating audios to accompany your ebooks.

Lets say your e-book is selling well. Now what? You should consider adding audios to your e-book. Doing so will allow you to raise the price and value of the e-book you offer your customers.

What do I mean? Lets say for example you sell your e-book online for $37. Maybe you have a successful guide on candle making. If you want to boost your sales and the value your customers perceive from your e-book, read the book, record it or make a couple of MP3 files your customers can download.

Incorporate this into your sales pitch. Use this as an upsell.

As soon as you add a couple of hours of audio, you can raise the price from $37 to $47 to $67. Some people wont buy from you because they are turned off by e-books. Why? They dont want to read. You solve this problem by providing an audio of your course.

Remember, people learn differently. So, some people will prefer an audio or MP3 because they dont learn well by reading.

Secret #2 Get Physical

What is the next way you can boost your profits? You can go physical. Today when people think about information marketing, they think about e-books.

The truth is e-books are simply one medium, one information product idea you can market. There are other physical products however, that can generate even more profits for you.

What types of products? DVDs, CDs, membership site, business in a box, systems, templates, software, tools there are so many things you can market besides an e-book.

So convert your winning idea into a multimedia product. Make if physical.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is they think people wont want audios and material. Thats not true. People do want physical products, other information. They want audios. Then you can double, triple or even quadruple your price.

To me, when I sell an e-book (Like my forbidden Psychological Tactics) I always have an upsell. Youll find you automatically make more money and youll reduce the risk of refunds.

People dont want a refund when you give them this much information. Sometimes its not because they dont want your product, they just want to rip you off. However, when you turn your e-book into a physical product, youll see your refund rate drops dramatically.

Your refund rate will drop from 12-14% to 2%. Why? You are adding to customer satisfaction. You are also helping other markets and people like the elderly (who may not want to read an e-book).

This type of product and service generates more rave reviews. And its easy. All you have to do is turn your product into a physical product.

Secret # 3 Create a Back-End Product

The third strategy you need to adopt to generate more profits is providing a back-end product. You see, when you are selling an e-book, you have a customer.

You should have a back-end in place, a series of auto-responders that will upsell, backend sell other products.

Most people assume they can only make money from their products. If you think like this, you will lose money. Why?

Sometimes your customers arent interested in your specific product, but they are interested in you. And they will take your advice. So if you offer them a back-end product, something someone else created, you may still make the sale.

You should have other peoples products readily available so you can make a commission on them. Just because someone doesnt buy your product doesnt mean they wont want to buy others products.

It doesnt matter if they buy your products as long as you are making money. If you have a back-end in place, you can act as an affiliate and you can sell them something someone else is offering. Use auto responders and make money. Pitch other peoples products. Make it profitable for your customers to invest, even if they dont initially invest in your product specifically.

How do you profit from the people that dont order from you? Thats how you do it.

Apply these three ideas and watch how they make you more money. Youll be pleasantly surprised by the incredible results you start realizing.

Business Directories: The Place To List Your Local Small Business When Looking For Local Customers

One of the oldest and most effective ways to market yourself online is through local small business directory listings. Small business Internet marketing requires starting with a listing of your small business in the major general directories then listing them in niche and industry-specific directories appropriate to your small business. It is a time consuming process to list your small business in the right directories, but a necessary one to ensure good rankings for your website.

The most essential directory for your small business to be listed in is DMOZ, also called the Open Directory Project. All the major search engines, and most of the minor ones, rely on DMOZ, located at www.dmoz.org, for information on websites. Google gets information on every website it crawls from DMOZ.

You should also list your small business in Google Local and Yahoo Local. All you need to do to get listed with Google is to go to Google, click on the Local link and find the "add your business link." For Yahoo, go to Yahoo, click on "Directory," then click on "Submit Your Site" at the bottom of the page.

You can find other directories online by using Google or Yahoo. Type in "directory of directories" and you'll get a list of small business directories, both paid and free, listed by state, industry, niche, and other categorizations. I recommend that you list in every directory that applies to your business. Here is a short list of local small business directory opportunities to help you attract local customers for your business:

http://www.dmoz.org
http://dir.yahoo.com
http://www.joeant.com
http://www.jayde.com
http://www.avivadirectory.com
http://www.goguides.com
http://www.botw.org

Some directories, like the Yahoo directory, charge, but it is well worth what you pay to be listed. Once you are included in Yahoo's small business directory, you can bet your website will be indexed in the search engine as well.

There are three primary considerations for your small business when listing in directories online:

The directory's PageRank

The directory's age

Is your small business category available?

PageRank is important for SEO purposes. Internet marketing pros all recommend getting inbound links from websites with high PR. A website with a PR higher than yours will benefit you with valuable inbound links that will give you a boost in the search engines as well. The age of the directory makes it more valuable because you know that if the directory has been around for more than two years then it will likely be around next year. You can get information on PageRank and the age of various directories at http://www.seocompany.ca/directory/web-directories.html.

Don't waste your time trying to get listed in a directory that doesn't offer a category you'll fit into. Be sure to browse the categories at any small business directories you consider before you list your business.

Two great sources for finding web directories for your small business Internet marketing efforts are www.dir-search.com and www.best-web-directories.com. The Best Web Directories website is perhaps the most comprehensive website for finding business directories online. If you want to find local customers through small business directories then I recommend these two resources for finding the best places online that list small business directories for your Internet marketing efforts.

One thing you'll need to keep in mind all directories are different. Nevertheless, you should write your business directory listing before you submit to any directories. Your local small business directory listing shouldn't be too long, but it should include all the pertinent information: Your business name, your name, address, phone number, website address, e-mail address, and a short description of your business. In your business directory listing, be sure to use the best keyword two or three times to make your small business listing optimized for the search engines.

To find industry-specific or niche directories, go to DMOZ or one of the other general directories and search for your industry by keyword. Then do a keyword search at Google and Yahoo along with the keyword "directory." This should return a good listing of directories for your industry or niche.

One other source for listing your local small business is the local chamber of commerce's website. When you join your local chamber, they should list your website on theirs for free. The traffic you can get from this one source can be well worth joining the local chamber, and almost all of the traffic will be local customers looking for your type of business. The Yellow Pages online and www.merchantcircle.com are two other sources to consider for local small business Internet marketing. More and more people are looking online for small businesses to do business with and relying less on print publications like the Yellow Pages. That's just one more reason to look for local small business directories to be listed in.

The Second Biggest Mistake Freelancers Make

When you first begin your freelance careerwhether as a writer, photographer, web designer, graphic artist or whateveryou have to face the ultimate challenge: getting clients.

So you scour all the marketing books and Internet articles, and you talk with others who have gone before you to see if they have a secret.

Then, one day, you take the plunge. You begin to market your freelance business. You come to realize that if you don't aggressively market, you are going to get nowhere fast. And that's not why you became a freelancer. You became a freelancer because you wanted to call your own shots and you believed you could make more money working for yourself than for someone else.

If you are diligent and determined, your marketing efforts soon begin to pay off. You land a couple of clients. One of them, in fact, may be a big one. It's a large company with tons of work for you to do and plenty of money to give you in return. Best of all, you've managed to impress them.

Welcome to the gravy train!

Well, not so fast. It is extremely tempting to climb onto this gravy train and go along for the ride as long as it will take you. But "putting all your eggs in one basket," or devoting most of your freelance work to just one client, will end in disastersooner or later.

While you are so busy with your big client, you tend to curtail or even stop marketing, so no one else ever learns about you. You eschew smaller clients and projects because you don't have the time and you can make a lot more money with your big client.

Worst of all, the day will come (I promise) that your gravy train will derail. The company will be swallowed up by some bigger, impersonal corporation that doesn't know you and doesn't care. Your job will become so important that the company will decide it needs a full-timer instead of a freelancer. Or your job will become obsolete as the company moves in a new direction. The contact people you have so carefully cultivated over time will gradually move on to other jobs, so you will have no one on your side. Or, heaven forbid, you will make an egregious mistake that just cannot be forgivenand you will be shown the door.

I know this from firsthand experience. For more than 12 years I road the gravy train of a company that handed me thousands of dollars every month. Then things began to change. The company is no longer operating, and my contacts have all departed for parts unknown.

Too many freelancers make the mistake of allowing a large percentage of their income to come from one source. If one client supplies more than 20 percent of your revenue on a consistent basis, you need to find more clients and other sources of revenueas soon as possible.

I've also known people who worked full-time and then decided to freelance almost exclusively for their former employer! Same mistake. Don't let familiarity doom your bottom line. Always be on the lookout for new clients.

(One caveat: In the very beginning of your freelance career, you may have only one or two clients to start, so they will, of course, contribute a large percentage of your income. But after about six months, you really need to have multiple clients and many baskets full of all those golden eggs.)

In a previous article, I mentioned that the Number One mistake freelancers make is turning self-employment into an excuse for self-indulgence. Having one big, lucrative client is a surefire way to fall into the trap of self-indulgence. Self-indulgence leads to all kinds of excuses for not working. And when you're a non-working freelancer, you are a broke freelancer.

While it's okayand quite wonderful!--to have a big, lucrative client, don't let that client dominate your time or make you financially dependent on him or her for your livelihood. Unless, of course, you'd rather quit freelancing and go back to work in a cubicle with half-hour lunch breaks, constant pressure, few if any chances, a dismal destiny, little prospect for advancing in your field, and no chance to make more moneyno matter how hard you work.

Make 2007 the Best Year of Your Career

Yep, folks, its that time again--a time to set resolutions which we seem to assume we wont keep, a time to think about really getting the job of our dreams. Here are some ideas/steps for making 2007 the best year of your career. So, why not take 2-3 hours to think about how you can make 2007 the year of your career.

Acknowledge the Accomplishments of 2006

Begin by reviewing what really worked for you in 2006. What were your triumphs? What did you do that you were really proud of? Did you get a new account? Increase your sales? Streamline the systems in your job? What did you enjoy doing during the year? Identify the parts of the job that you really got a buzz out of. Write them all down. The chances are you will begin to remember triumphs and achievements that you had forgotten. Acknowledge them. Even if you think you had no triumphs--you survived without getting fired--that counts, as well.

Identify Your Strengths Know What You are Good At

What do you do really well? What do you do so well that its effortless for you and you assume any plonker could do it? What do other people give you really positive feedback on? These are some keys to your strengths. Another useful way to identify your own strengths is to take some of the psychometric tests available. Some of the better known ones are: DISC, Myers-Briggs and the Enneagram. Do a google for any of them, and you should be able to do one online free or for a reasonable price. Self-knowledge is a key component of finding your dream career. Knowing what you are not so good at is useful, as well.

Where Can You Contribute? Make the Present Better

Given that its unlikely that you will have an invite on Monday morning to your new job, what can you do in the meantime to improve your contribution to your current position. You could begin by simply asking your boss how you can serve the organization better. Admittedly he/she could be gobsmacked at first, but they probably will then be impressed, and this could help improve your relationship with them. Can you be kinder to other people in the office? What would be the one thing you could do in your job that would raise your game? How could you bring some of the strengths that you have identified to your current position? Are there any openings within the company where you could use these strengths? Could you reach out a helping hand to someone else? What can YOU do to make your workplace a better one for everyone?

Dream It and Then Do It

Imagine yourself a year from now in your dream job. Write down what you will be doing, what sort of environment you will be working in. Will you be working outdoors? In an office? Be as detailed as possible. Now, do you know anyone doing a job like this? See if you can organize to meet them. Ask your friends if they know anyone. People are generally very helpful. Ask if you can interview them about the positives and negatives of their position. This will give you a more realistic picture. Laura Berman Fortgang in her book Now What? 90 Days to a New Life Direction has an excellent section on this.

Paralysis by Perfection

One thing I hear from a lot of my clients is that they want to be sure this is the right job they will move to, they want to be sure they have identified the right career for them. And in the meantime, they moan and groan about their current position and agonize over what their perfect career might be. In our current world, you will probably change careers 4-5 times anyway, and you will learn something from every career choice. Identify what you want, whats non-negotiable for you, and if you get 100% of that and 80% of the rest and your gut feeling is good--go for it. Life is constantly presenting new opportunities and getting a new job is not for life: unlike a dog or a marriage.

The Leo Wanta Saga, Pt. 5: Leo Wanta, Sent To Arrest Rich, Tells What Really 'Went Down' In Switzerland

Mid-April 2006: The Patrick Fitzgerald investigation is spilling over across the pond to Switzerland, trying to trace the bank swindling and dirty dealings of Clinton-Bush bagman and Mossad agent, Marc Rich.

Sources near Fitzgerald claim the crime-busting Chicago special prosecutor is delving into why Rich was tipped off and able to evade a 1993 arrest attempt, ordered by FBI director William Sessions.

Those watching the Plamegate investigation hope Fitzgerald is the 'real deal' and not just providing a neo con dog and pony show, but sources claim the investigation is now meticulously looking into bank swindles by the Bush-Clinton mob, amounting to more than a trillion dollars, involving money earmarked for the U.S. Treasury.

And bank account records - tracing more than $750 billion of missing or stolen money - have been already provided as public record by Leo Wanta, the former U.S. Treasury agent assigned by Sessions to put the finger on Rich. (See accounts listed below).

In a telephone conversation Friday, Wanta said he still keeps the official 1993 Rich arrest warrant, as proof-positive the events took place as he reported.

However, in a strange turn of events, Wanta was jailed for his efforts, placed for 134 days in a Swiss dungeon, as Rich was allowed to slip free in a move, according to Wanta, leading to the theft of hundreds of billions- if not trillions - of U.S. Treasury funds by the Bush-Clinton mob.

After Wanta was framed and put in jail, reports linking Hillary Clinton to dipping into the Wanta-controlled accounts were recently verified by overseas investigators.

Investigators claim the First Lady travelled to Grenada, ordering a bank transfer from Bank Crozier Limite, Grand Anse P.O. Box 1005, St George's Grenada, West Indies.

Although the amount Clinton pilfered is unknown, estimates are she withdrew approximately $250 milliion from a Leo Wanta-controlled account, an account to be transferred to the U.S. Treasury listed under Marvelous Investment Limited, bank account number A/C 374-250.

Wanta, released form a long jail term last October, also said this week in a telephone conversation he has provided new information to overseas investigators in an effort to uncover even more of the stolen money, as he is fast on the trail on the vast sum of money with the help of foreign investigators and sophisticated computer software

"They are now messing with my computer, but so far we've successfully traced well over a trillion dollars and there is more to come, I'm sure," said Wanta, adding the original source of the money came from a financial scheme he put together on behalf of President Ronald Reagan to destabilize the Soviet currency at the end of the Cold War, subsequently amassing a fortune now amounting to more than 27.5 trillion dollars.

"We did so well with what we did, Bush and Clinton wanted to copy our methods. When I didn't play all with them, they wanted me out of the way so they could get their hands on the money."

After the Cold War ended, the money was placed in overseas accounts, Wanta being appointed legal guardian of the fortune by President Reagan with the understanding it be returned to the American people to be used for schools, roads and even infrastructure improvements in Louisiana to bolster the inadequate levee system..

To Wanta's detractors and skeptics, a 2003 federal court ruling, docket no. 02-1363-A, dated April 15, 2003, by Federal Judge Bruce Lee affirmed Wanta's position as legal trustor with the obligation to return a major portion of the money after taxes and trustor expenses back to the U.S. Treasury.

But when Bush senior and Clinton took over the reins of the White House, according to Wanta, things changed, as the vast sum of money was treated more like their own personal slush fund instead of property of the American people.

And the story and fight for the money became downright ugly right about the first week in July 2003, a time when Fitzgerald is now supposedly entering the scene, as a part of the original probe into the outing of CIA agent Valerie Plame, leading to the arrest of White House lackey Lewis 'Scooter' Libby.

But in Switzerland that first week in July a lot more than the failed arrest of Rich arrest took place, including a visit by the late deputy White House counsel, Vince Foster, killed in a Washington park on his return to Washington D.C. on July 20, 1993.

According to Wanta, who recently appeared on Greg Szymanski's radio show, The Investigative Journal, he said the events surrounding Rich and Foster went like this:

"I was ordered in my capacity as Treasury agent and appointed Ambassador to arrest Marc Rich and bring him back to the States. However, I found out he was tipped off by Mossad agents not to meet with me. Rich then escaped, fleeing Switzerland.

"At the same time, I was ordered to give Vince Foster $250 million dollars earmarked for the Childrens Fund. It took us a few days to make the proper transactions of roughly $81 million each and then Foster left with the money for Washington.

"Then, for no reason, I was shackled by Swiss authorities and put in a Swiss dungeon, where I ended up spending 134 days. I found out Vince had heard about what happened and made attempts through the State Department to find out what happened and to get me out. But the next thing I heard, a Swiss guard passed on a message that Vince Foster was dead.

"Then later Itzhak Rabin tried to help, sending a letter which I have retained as proof. However, when authorities got word he was traveling to Switzerland on my behalf, I was immediately flown to the States, where I was charged with a trumped up Wisconsin state income tax charge, leading to a 20 year jail term.

"I finally was released last October. I don't know why, but I am now in the process of trying to account for the 27.5 trillion as well as account for the stolen money. They, being Bush and Clinton, really wanted me out of the way all these years so I couldn't return the money, but they didn't expect the federal court ruling in 2003 which I filed and prevailed.

"It's interesting they haven't appealed and now time has run out. I know they don't want anyone to know about this story and that is why the press has stayed silent."

Although Wanta has no idea what happened to the $250 million Foster had in his possession when he left Switzerland, the Fitzgerald probe needs to connect the dots in order to determine the real purpose of the Childrens Defense Fund, chaired by Hillary Clinton, and said to be used as her own personal slush fund, as well as front for CIA covert domestic and foreign operations.

It's also interesting to note the FBI and Kenneth Starr investigation into Vince Foster's death never looked into to his meeting in Switzerland as well as fully investigating the importance and disappearance of the $250 million dollars in Foster's possession when he left Switzerland.

Further, it should be remembered Rabin also wanted to help Wanta, sending him a letter still in Wanta's possession. Investigators, who believe Foster was assassinated, also point out Rabin met the same fate, being assassinated as well in 1995.

THE WORLD'S BIGGEST-EVER BANK!NG HEIST

This was nothing less than the biggest bank heist in the history of humanity. No less than $742.5 billion of funds -- admittedly raised for what we consider to be thoroughly evil New Underworld Order purposes -- was misappropriated. Wanta, a servant of the US Presidency, was engaged in the fund-raising and speaks German when telephoned. This is the language of the high-level Illuminati. However Wanta is a technical operative, working, or so he always assumed, for the President of the United States.

Moreover we know that is loyalty to the presidency was exploited by the Illuminati, probably without (as is often the case with technicians) him understanding the broader picture, because he told Investigators in May 2004 that the funds had been raised to support the 'Global Security Environment', which, judging by the tone of his comments, he did net consider to be a worthy project. .As a patriotic American, he was dismayed about the 'New World Order' generally

It should be noted, The United States government is the designated enforcement arm of the Illuminati and their associates (like Germany in WWI), who are engaged in the Judaic Masonic Program to impose the New Underworld Order.

That is why the United States has 700 bases worldwide which require massive continuing injections of liquidity and why Britain is constantly reducing its armed forces. This is part of the meaning of Leo Wanta's phrase 'Global Security Environment'. The Germans are surreptitiously doing the opposite to the British with their military as they have a special status in the New Underworld Ordnung. But that takes us into territory beyond the scope of this update in the geo-financial impasse surrounding Leo Wanta, a brave and loyal intelligence officer and servant of successive Presidents of the United States.

Beware The Overseas Property Scammers From Hell!

A property scam story in the UK Daily Telegraph recently has highlighted, yet again, the need to be cautious when dealing with prospective cash purchasers abroad and has prompted me to relate a similar tale that happened to us.

The Telegraph story concerned a lady who was selling a property in France and who had a buyer offer her more than the asking price over the telephone without ever seeing the house. (Alarm bells should already be ringing!)

This buyer then sent her an international money order including an extra 12,000 to cover his legal costs which he asked her to send on to his lawyers once the money order had been credited to her account. Of course, as soon as the money order went into her bank and was shown as a credit her buyer was on the telephone constantly to transfer the 12,000 so as to get things moving quickly.

She, very wisely, refused to do this until the money was actually cleared into her account. It is not widely known that just because a money order or bank draft is credited to ones account it does not mean that the funds are cleared. (This, I think, is yet another glaring fault of the banking system - but thats another story.)

Sure enough, after the ridiculous wait of ten days the money order bounced and her bank was very quick to remove the credit from her account. Her buyer was never heard from again! Had she succumbed to the pressure she would now be a lot worse off. Fortunately she had the sense to wait and in so-doing foiled the scammers.

Our story is a similar scam but a very different method. We had a property for sale in Fuengirola, southern Spain last year and were approached by a man who was looking to buy investment properties in our area. He at least came to see the property and tried to look the part of the businessman that he purported to be. (Shame about the cheap suit and the ridiculous Panama hat!)

He went away to confer with his business associates and said he would telephone us in a couple of days. This he did and, good news, he would like to go ahead and purchase our property. Unfortunately, because of his business commitments he couldnt come back to the house so could we meet him at his hotel in Torremolinos? At this point we had nothing to lose so off we went the next day.

We rang him as we got to the hotel and he was too quick to meet us on the pavement outside and suggest we go to a nearby bar to have a drink and talk over the deal. After a cursory attempt to haggle he agreed to our asking price of 455,000 euros and we shook hands on the deal. There were just one or two small details to work out!

Firstly, because of tax reasons, he would be making the purchase through a colleague in Belgium who would do all the necessary money transfers and sign all the paperwork. No problems so far, it didnt worry us whose name was on the deeds.

Next he wanted to pay 200,000 by bank transfer and the balance of 255,000 by cash. Now, while this is not unheard of in Spanish property deals, thats an awful lot of black money. We carried on listening.

Ah! But the cash he has is actually only in sterling so he would give us the equivalent in sterling plus 10% for our trouble. Were starting to lose interest now but we kept him going.

Just one small problem. For tax reasons (again?) he cant get to Belgium to pick the money up so could we go and pick it up ourselves and once were back in Spain with it he would make the transfer of the other 200,000 from his office in Monaco. He makes a point to remind us that hes trusting us with his 255,000 euros in cash as a goodwill gesture to show hes serious. Were finding it hard to keep a straight face at this point.

The best he saved until last. His Belgian colleagues fee for processing the deal is 45,000 euros in cash but he wont accept the equivalent in sterling because it would be too risky to change that amount overseas.

Our man then said that he would add this 45000 euros (plus 10%!) to the previous euro figures making a total amount of 330,000 euros to collect in pounds sterling (approx 235,000) and giving us a 32,500 euro profit over the asking price.

So if we could just take 45,000 euros cash (of our money) to Belgium with us to hand over to this man, once he has handed over to us the 235-odd thousand pounds in cash of course, then everything will be tickety-boo! Believe me, he was quite serious.

By this time we had completely lost interest and just wanted to go and do something else. Anything else but listen to this idiot! We made our excuses and said wed think about it over the weekend. I know its not funny but we had to have a chuckle on the way back to the car.

Sure enough, on the following Tuesday he was on the telephone asking when we would like to go ahead with the deal. But if we cant act quickly he would move on to the next investment property and the opportunity would be lost. I cant recall what I said to him but Im sure it had something to do with that old sailing term, chucking anchor!

I sincerely hope that no-one out there has had the mis-fortune to come across this odious little man and been taken in by his preposterous proposition.

In matters of property abroad, my only advice is this: Be alert, be aware and unless the moneys up front and sitting in your bank, dont believe a word anyone says to you.

Especially sweaty, Monaco-based businessmen in ill-fitting, cheap suits.

How To Become A Super Affiliate

Many people have taken the plunge and joined the world of affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing allows you to work for yourself and put your skills, hard work and independence together for you. Success in any business will not happen over night. It still takes time and effort to get your affiliate marketing scheme up and running. However, if you are persistent, determined and willing to give it your all, affiliate marketing can be the perfect career opportunity for you.

To become the so called super affiliate, you should really follow the advice of other successful affiliates. They have been through what you are and know what they are talking about. One of the first pieces of advice they give is to concentrate on a niche. Don't try to sell everything but the kitchen sink. Concentrate on one thing in the early days. Work out the best way to sell it and get going. Once you have some strategies worked out you can always expand.

One you have built up a store house of affiliates, you need to know how to promote. Search engine and the web is usually the best way. If you are confident then you could try pay per click. However, make sure you understand this well. Many affiliates have gone for is option only to find that their profits have been eaten up.

You should take time to know your product and who you are aiming it for. When you understand both well you begin to build up credibility. People will begin to trust you and what you offer. They will feel much better about giving their business over to you rather than others. This will result in higher sales revenue for you and a much stronger business.

Don't be afraid to diversify. Sign up with more than one merchant. Beware of any merchant that wants you to sign up with them exclusively. By using several merchants you get much more exposure. You are also protecting your self if one merchant goes under or does not pay.

Keep on top of current trends in the market. Be prepared to change if you need to. The world of internet marketing is continually changing. By staying flexible and having a willingness to change you can make these changes work for you rather than against you. Remember, what was working last month may not be this month.

Finally, don't give up. It is true that many of these affiliate marketing schemes do fail. However, the reason isn't due to poor products or ideas. It is because people give up way too soon. It takes time to build any business. Just keep at it. Try to do something everyday to promote your business. If you keep it up you will eventually start to see results.

How to Start Your Affiliate Business

Does this sound familiar:

Getting started is easy!
-- Complete the online application below.
-- Read the Affiliate Agreement and the additional terms included with it!
-- We notify you of your acceptance.
-- Place the links on your site and Start earning cash!

Just like that, you think you are on your way to earning 100s of dollars in income right away. You hear the success stories. You see the potential for earning an income on the internet. You jump right in and join a bunch of affiliate programs, purchase the services and software that you are told that you need. Now you have spent all this money and have still not made anything to show for your efforts.

What you need to do is start by planning out your business. Make sure that you have an overall business plan. Put this down on paper. When planning your business, you need to determine which affiliate programs to join. You want to avoid just putting up a list of affiliate links. This will never encourage people to buy from you. Do your research about products and services. There is so much out there on the internet about everything this should not be a hard task. Look to see what people are out there buying. Keep in mind that most people on the internet are looking for information. Make sure that you are able to provide then with the information that is helpful to them. Choose something that you can be passionate about and work hard at showing people how your product or service will help them. This will encourage visitors to click on that banner and purchase the goods or services that you are promoting.

Once you have figured out what your business is then it is time to establish a presentation of your business - Your WEB SITE. This does not have to be a grand 20 page web site. It is more of a one to two page site that allows you to pitch your business. Remember, if you are not building a business, you are not going to earn any money on affiliate sites. You want to keep your site very easy to understand and browse through. You want to make sure that you show your passion about the products or services that you are selling. Show people what the product or service can do for them. Make them think that it is something that they cannot live without. Use testimonials and personalize your web page for the product or service. You want people to see that you are just the average Joe who has found this wonderful product and show what it is going to do for them. It does not have to be anything elaborate. In fact, simplicity is the key to keeping people on your site. The more Bling that you have going on, the less likely that people will stay on your site.

Remember, starting any business is difficult. Dont expect to make big money right away. It takes time to establish trust with customers. But, by planning your business and building a quality site, you will avoid the mistakes that many affiliates make. You will be way ahead of the pack and on your way to building a viable web BUSINESS.

Green With Envy In The Google Game

Beginning on April 14th, 2007, a firestorm blew through the Internet community with the search engine optimization (SEO) community burning the hottest. The embers were warm and waiting for a strong wind to blow and kick up the flames, but it took Matt Cutts, the Google engineer extraordinaire to fire the flames with an off-the-cuff comment about "paid links."

The flames raged and in most forums, the wind quickly shifted moving the firestorm back towards Cutts and Google. Thread Watch offered the most biting rebuttal to Cutts' comments: http://www.threadwatch.org/node/13925 and http://www.threadwatch.org/node/13941

Aaron Wall at Thread Watch is a respectable fellow, and he tore into Google with a ferociousness that I had not anticipated. Matt Cutts tried to answer some of Aaron's questions, but it seemed that Cutts' rebuttals only added more fuel to the fire.

I would not have wanted to be in Matt Cutts' shoes that week. Oh my, it was brutal!

Even on Cutts' own blog where the "paid link" comment originally surfaced (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/hidden-links/), Danny Sullivan posted a question that went unanswered, so Sullivan commented about it on his site: http://searchengineland.com/070420-111550.php

Search Engine Watch even mentioned this issue and linked to additional forums where the debate was raging: http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog/070416-020746

What Most Readers Took From Cutts' Comments

There were only a few readers who took Matt Cutts' comments to be brotherly-advice.

The vast majority of people were screaming that Google intended to exercise their "monopoly control" over the Internet to run all of their competitors out of business.

Generally, I am not a "reactionary" type person. But for about an hour, even I had a ball in the pit of my stomach.

The ball passed from the pit of my stomach when I read a post that mirrored an opinion I have openly written about numerous times before: How does Google determine the "intent" of a person making a link? They can't!

Understanding The Nuances Of Similar Items

Some people suggest that I should be ashamed of myself for speculating about the future of Google's algorithms. There is even one clown, who has suggested that I should fear mentioning Matt Cutts' name in an article, because I am bound to draw Cutts' ire against me and my businesses. But, I am not worried.

I am simply laying out my "speculative" opinion about what Cutts' comments might mean to my business and yours. You are free to use your own brain to judge the value of my words.

Am I playing a double standard when I say that Google cannot determine the intent of the person placing a link, and then I comment on how I interpret the future of the Google search algorithms? I don't think so, and let me tell you why.

Google uses algorithms (software programs) to make distinctions about what a web page is about, how they value that page, and to judge the nature of a link.

I use my intellect (or as some would suggest, my lack thereof) to make a judgment about what Google has told us we should expect from them in the future.

I trust software to a certain extent, but software cannot always read the nuance that separates two very similar items. So, how can the Google algorithm be expected to determine the intent of a person who placed a link?

It has always been my contention that humans are "required" in any process that must make an interpretation of nuance. In my businesses, we refuse to trust computers to make judgments of nuance, because they can't. That is the reason we employ human beings to process orders.

What Is Google's Intent Behind The Paid Links Issue?

The whole of Cutts' argument seems to hinge on nixing "paid links" that are designed to manipulate or "game Google's PageRank" and to a lesser extent, their organic search results. Google seems to be really agitated that webmasters are "selling links based on the PageRank value of a page."

The problem is that webmasters are selling an intangible asset that is wholly owned by Google and maintained for "Google's benefit." Webmasters are selling this Google asset, but Google will not receive any of the proceeds from that sale.

As a result, Cutts suggested that webmasters should use some method that Google's spider can use to recognize and distinguish "paid links" from "given links." Since Google's algorithm is based on the theory that links are given to websites that deserve those links, the paid links on high PageRank pages can really skew Google's PageRank values and its organic search results.

Here Is Where It Gets Ugly

Both honest and dishonest people inhabit this Internet.

Google wants webmasters who are selling links to distinguish paid links from given links, so that Google can ignore "links purchased to influence PageRank."

If honest people distinguish paid links in a way that Google can recognize, then the market demand for those links will dry up. Once the PageRank value of a link is taken away from the buyer, the buyer will be forced to purchase links based only on the traffic that the specific web page receives. If all paid link decisions were based only on a web page's traffic, then the market value of a link would be decimated.

Once a webmaster tells his link-buying customers that his or her links will no longer carry PageRank value to the buyer's website, then the value of that link will drop in most cases by 80% or more. Why would a webmaster want to reduce the market value of his links by 80%?

Although Google's links do not pass PageRank to the websites that are in their index or paid listings, we have to ask ourselves one thing. Would Google be willing to take a step that would reduce the market value of their own links by 80%? They certainly would not do anything that would cut their own bottom line that deeply, yet they are asking webmasters to do just that.

This is the reason people are teed off at Google. At least 80% of the market value of a link is driven by the PageRank value of the web page where the link will be placed.

Dishonest people don't care to play by the rules; they will continue to sell their PageRank value, as long as they continue to have buyers. Only the honest will suffer.

Link Buyers Are Green With Envy

Link Buyers are envious of the PageRank value given to other web pages, and they want a bit of that value passed over to their own websites.

Link buyers are green with envy, because they can see that little green bar in the top of their browser that tells them how much value Google gives a web page in its algorithms.

If Google were to keep PageRank as a private value, known only to them, then "paid links" would not be an issue for them to manage.

If the public cannot see what a page's PageRank value is, then link buyers would not be able to use PageRank to influence their link buying decisions, and webmasters would not be able to market their PageRank value to other websites.

How Simple Is That?

All Google has to do to solve this problem of theirs, is to take away the indicator people use to buy and sell PageRank.

Someone suggested to me that Google would never do away with the PageRank indicator in their toolbar, because Google feels that it is the only thing that ensures that people will keep the Google toolbar in their browser. Personally, I will continue to use the Google toolbar for my searches, even if the PageRank indicator was not there, because I like the search results Google gives to me. But that is just my opinion, and I am only one person out of millions of Google toolbar users.

What it boils down to is this. If Google is serious about nixing schemes to buy and sell PageRank, then they would simply take their PageRank indicator away from us. But will they take it away? Only time will tell.
